In the fall of 2024, Hurricanes Helene and Milton hit our island back to back. The storms were fierce. The damage was real. But what happened next was something you only see in a community like ours. Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers became friends. People who had lost so much showed up for each other with open hands and open hearts. No one waited to be asked. No one left anyone behind. That's Treasure Island. That's who we are. The Salty Locals was built in the spirit of that resilience — because this community deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported. We're not just bouncing back. We're coming back stronger, saltier, and more connected than ever. Treasure Island Strong. Always.
Captain Flock is a flamingo with a pirate's attitude, a patch over one eye, and absolutely zero tolerance for tourist traps. He's been prowling the shores of Treasure Island longer than anyone can remember, and he knows every hidden gem, every sunset spot, and every local worth knowing. He's bold. He's salty. He's fiercely loyal to this island and everyone on it. Captain Flock is the heart and soul of The Salty Locals — our mascot, our guide, and our reminder that the best adventures happen when you stop playing it safe and start living like a local.
